Description: – An extremely fine and highly decorative Hutschenreuther porcelain ewer decorated in the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr with a delightful study of three different coloured iris’s in silver overlay against a black ground. The ewer is signed Spahr 1000 to the lower base rim in a position below the handle.
Size & Weight: – The Ewer is 27cm tall and weighs 765g
Condition: – The porcelain has no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, losses or restoration. The silver is in great order without any losses, Obviously after 70 + years of care there are very minor surface scratches following years of love, care & attention.
Photography: - Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful vase. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze.
History & Marks:– The porcelain marks used between 1948 to 1970. The silver stamped Spahr 1000 to the base rim.
Declaration:– This is original Hutschenreuther porcelain from the time period described. The silver overlay is that from the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr.
