Description: – A fine and scarce Hutschenreuther porcelain vase decorated in the Schwäbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Deusch with scenes after Raymond Peynet, “Lovers”. The design is in pure silver overlay upon a green ground.
Size & Weight: – The vase is 16cm tall & 7cm across the rim and weighs 425g.
Condition: – The porcelain has no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, losses or restoration. The silver is in fine order without any losses
Photography: - Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful vase. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze.
History & Marks:– The Hutschenreuther porcelain marks used between 1939 to 1964. The silver is stamped 1000 to the lower rim.
Raymond Peynet was born in Paris 1908 and became a celebrated cartoonist, illustrator, jewellery designer and did designs for Rosenthal and other porcelain and glass studios. He was awarded the arts and letters in Paris 1957 and Order of Merit in 1963. Raymond Peynet also made a wonderful series of figures.
