Description: – An exciting and rare silver overlay vase decorated in the Schwäbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr.  The vase has a stunning design depicting swans (silver overlay) in flight against a wonderful atmospheric blue ground.

Size & Weight: – The vase is 30cm tall and is 11.5cm across the rim and the silver is marked Spahr 1000 to the lower rim.

Condition: – The porcelain has no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, losses or restoration. The silver is in great order without any losses to the body. Obviously after 70 years of care there may be very minor surface scratches to the silver following years of love, care and attention. There is also some very very slight wear to the base of the vase where the silver is usually thinner and worn very slightly over the years.

Photography: - Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful vase. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze. The blue ground is actually slightly lighter in tone.

History & Marks:– Hutschenreuther Arzberg Bavaria Porcelain porcelain marks used between 1928 to 1963. The silver is stamped Spahr 1000 to the lower aspect of the silver neck.

Declaration:– This is original K&A Krautheim Porcelain from the time period described. The silver overlay is that from the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr.
