Description: – A scarce German porcelain vase superbly decorated with a modernist floral design in thick silver overlay upon a ‘pink chintzy’ ground. The silver is enhanced with fine engraving and marked with an early Spahr 1000 10 mark, which can be seen on the base.
Size & Weight: – The weighty vase is 27cm tall & 12.5cm across the rim.
Condition: – The porcelain has no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, losses or restoration. The silver is in great order without any losses to the body. Obviously after 80/90 years of care there are very minor surface scratches to the silver following those years of love, care and attention.
Photography: - Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful vase. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze.
History & Marks:– The Vase is marked with an early Spahr 1000 10 mark, which can be seen on the base.
Declaration:– This is original German Porcelain from the time period described. The silver overlay is that from the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr.
