A fine and Rare Friedrich Spahr Silver Overlay Vase

Materials: – K&A Krautheim Porcelain &  Friedrich Spahr Schwåbisch Gmünd silver

Country of Origin: – Germany

Description: – A very fine and scarce Krautheim & Adelberg porcelain vase decorated in the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver-studios of Friedrich Spahr. The 30cm tall vase is adorned in polychrome enamels within a superbly organically flowing design in fine thick silver overlay depicting of fabulous bird of paradise. The silver is further enhanced with detailed engraving.

Size & Weight: – The vase is 30cm tall. The silver stamped Spahr 1000 to the lower aspect of the upper rim. Weight 2415g

Condition: – The porcelain has no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, losses or restoration. The silver is in great order without any losses to the body. Obviously after 80 years of care there are very minor surface scratches to the silver following years of love, care and attention. There is also some very slight wear to the base of the vase where the silver is usually thinner and worn slightly over the years.

Photography: - Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful vase. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze.

History & Marks:– The K&A Krautheim porcelain marks used between 1945 to 1977. The silver is stamped Spahr 1000 to the lower aspect of the silver neck.

Declaration:– This is original K&A Krautheim Porcelain from the time period described. The silver overlay is that from the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr.
