A delightful Modernist inspired asymmetric silver overlay ewer/vase

Description: – A delightful Modernist inspired asymmetric silver overlay ewer/vase.  Decorated in the Friedrich Deusch silver studios with simple yet striking design of trailing flowers silver overlay upon a black ground. The silver marked 1000 to the lower part of the handle and the base has the Deusch coffee pot mark. 

Size & Weight: – The ewer is 22.5cm tall and weighs 290g

Condition: – The porcelain has no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, losses or restoration. The silver is in great order without any losses to the body. Obviously after 60/70 years of care there are very minor surface scratches to the silver following years of love, care and attention. 

Photography: - Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful vase. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze.

History & Marks:– The Hans Neuerer porcelain marks used from 1943 and included Prof Karl between 1955-60. The silver is stamped  1000 to the lower aspect of the handle and has the standard Friedrich Deusch Coffee Pot mark to the base.

Prof. Franz Josef Karl born in Hungary 1899 & died in Germany 1969. He was an Hungarian born sculptor, painter and ceramist. In 1949 he became the artistic leader and designer at the "Kunstabteilung" Rosenthal Selb. Worked in Spain from 1951 and returned to Germany in 1953. He became designer for "Porzellan Neuerer" where this asymetric design was produced. 1955-60.  He then worked in Brazil & returned to Germany where he died in 1969.

Declaration:– This is original Hans Neuerer Porcelain from the time period described. The silver overlay is that from the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Deusch.
