A delightful Edelstein porcelain vase with silver overlay

Country of Origin: – Germany

Description: – A delightful Edelstein porcelain vase decorated in the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr with a stylised floral design in silver overlay upon a turquoise ground. This turquoise colour epitomises the era of the Lambretta.

Size & Weight: – The vase is 27cm tall & 9cm across the rim and weighs 890g in total. 

Condition: – The porcelain has no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, losses or restoration. The silver is in great order without any losses, Obviously after 70 years of care there are very minor surface scratches to the silver following years of love, care and attention.

Photography: - Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful vase. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze. The final image looks strange due to light effects.

History & Marks:– The porcelain marks used between 1929-72. The silver is stamped Spahr 1000 to the lower aspect of the foot rim..

Declaration:– This is original Edelstein porcelain from the time period described. The silver overlay is that from the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr.
