Description: – A  truly delightful pair of slightly deep plates decorated in the Dresden decorating studios of Ambrosius Lamm. The porcelain "blanks" are that from Carl Teichert porcelain manufactory and bear an impressed Meissen mark. The centre of each plate is decorated/painted with a beautiful array of summer flowers in muted tones surrounded by a stunning border displaying garlands of flowers in similar tones suspended from gilt ribbons.

Size & Weight: – The plates are 25cm across and the whole weighs 1045g

Condition: – This pair of of cabinet pates are in superb condition - the gilding is in very good order overall with very "minimal" gilt wear to rim which is difficult to show on the images.   The floral painting remains as the day they were painted. Photography: - Please look at the images as they shows how beautifully this pair of plates display. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze.

History & Marks:– This slendid pair of plates are made from "Carl Teichert Meissen Porcelain" and bears their impressed mark for C:1880 . The plates also bear the marks for Ambrosius Lamm Dresden Decorating Studio. The importan part of these marks are the Lamm image to the reverse as this represents that these plates were painted in the famous Ambrosius Lamm decorating studios.

Ambrosius Lamm opened a porcelain decorating studio in 1887 and maintained work until 1949. Ambrosius Lamm was world renouned for his beautiful work on porcelain, chiefly for his work in the Meissen, Vienna and Copenhangen styles. Lamms forte was Old Dresden Flowers, Watteau figures, Mythological studies and items decorated in 'The Old and New Style'. 

Ambrosius Lamm bought first quality porcelain blanks from Meissen (Carl Teichert), Rosenthal, Hutschenreuther and the Silesian Porcelain Manufactory. Lamm studios were revered for their outstanding quality.
